number one!
- Today was the second day of the Surrey Mayor's Cup. The first game was in Cloverdale. You played a team from Abbotsford and lost. But it was probably for the best because you ended up having to play them again for the gold medal. You guys were all riled up due to your loss, and ended up pouring on the gas in the gold medal game.
- Katie, dad couldn't come to the first game, so I took you myself. You didn't know that he was planning on coming to the second game, and you were so happy when you spotted him. It was pretty cute.
- Jane, you placed an SOS call during the gold medal game. The babies were being really naughty. They were supposed to clean their room with your help, but they were being entirely uncooperative and pretty sassy. Lila told you that you were "dipping" (I'll explain later) and she was going to tell on you. You told her I was going to get them in big trouble when I came home, but she seemed pretty confident that you were the one who was going to get in trouble.
- Lila, your teacher has been talking about social responsibility lately, and used the book "How Full is Your Bucket" to give you guys language and a visual to describe your feelings. She made a whole bunch of pieces of paper with different actions written on them, and as she goes through them, you put them in the "filling" pile, or the "dipping" pile. Well Lila, you've really taken this to heart. When ever someone does something that doesn't quite suit you, you call them out for dipping. It's so funny. At first we couldn't figure out what the heck you were talking about, but then I stayed one morning for your class meeting, and it all made sense.
- Katie, daddy ended up taking you to the medal ceremony and I went home to rescue Jane. Lila, you were pretty sure that I would get Jane in trouble and seemed genuinely surprised when I didn't. You two ended up cleaning your room (with MUCH encouragement) and then went straight to bed in your nice tidy space. I feel like I'm really careful about how much stuff we have in our little space, but clutter seems to sneak up on me anyway. It's time to do another clean out of your toy tower.
