• Lila, you had a really hard day today.  The return to school after spring break has not gone well.  You sobbed on the way to school, and it broke my heart.  I don't know how to help you besides listen and love and spend some extra time with you.  I was really hoping you'd be settled by now.  But, you are you, and you need what you need.  I wish I understood what was happening and knew how to help you.
• Lila, after school we found a camellia that had dropped to the ground.  You picked it up and lovingly brought it home and put it in a bowl at your place at the table.  You really love flowers and have memorized the name of a surprising amount of them.
• George, you spend a great deal of time getting drinks of water from the kitchen sink.  It's about 99.9% playing with water, and .1% actually drinking water.  
• I made rice for dinner.  The sun shining through the steam from the rice cooker was a most enchanting sight for an asian like myself.  Nothing like nice hot fresh rice.
• We watched more old videos tonight.  You guys were the cutest babies that have ever existed.
• I got my hair cut again tonight.  I love it.  I went really short at the back and it feels so great.  I'm enjoying my hair.  I haven't regretted cutting it even for a second.  My long hair was weighing me down after so many years.  It was definitely time for a change.
