- Thank goodness for you, Katie Bean. You came and woke me up at 7:30. I shot out of bed and discovered that everyone was still sleeping! Amazingly enough, we all ate and got lunches together and got out the door in time. Nobody was late. Amazing!
- George, you were having a difficult minute when we dropped Lila off. I'm always surprised by your bad moods. They come over you very suddenly, then leave as quickly as they arrived.
- After school, George and Lila, we walked to Save On to get a couple things. We met up with Jane Jane in the forest. Lila, you were overjoyed to see her.
- It was super quiet while I was making dinner (which was super delicious, by the way...lentil soup!) so I went to see what everyone was up to. You three girls were busy drawing and writing. I love seeing stuff like this!
- You guys asked to get another fish. I'm totally into it, except I want to avoid the issues we had with our last fish. Poor little guy died within a couple weeks. I suspect it had something to do with George always wanting to pet it, and dropping various gifts into the water like rocks and money and toys etc. So we got a practice fish. We're practicing the rules of what we can and can't do with a fish. I think you've got the rules down pat now. You've declared yourselves ready. I'm hoping the presence of the fish bowl for a few days will allow the novelty to wear off a bit so that you can leave our new fishy alone when he arrives.
- I was shopping at Costco a couple weeks ago and saw they sell small sausage patties. I was struck by inspiration to make our own little sausage McMuffins for breakfast. Unfortunately, I forgot to buy the sausage patties, and the English muffins, so all I ended up getting was the process cheese. No one likes it except for you George, but for some reason you call it “slimy cheese”. It’s so funny.
