daddy's guitar
- George, this morning daddy got his guitar out (or as you call it...his geetah). You're so attracted to music. You loved playing it.
- Lila, you had a turn as well. You were all dressed up for our trip to the store already. Love the pajama/head scarf combo.
- Lila, we went shopping for party supplies because we're having birthday cake back at our place for Auntie Maria. You are always so definite about what you want to buy. You always have a vision and you never waver from it. We got lots of regular balloons, a wreath, banner, and one helium balloon. You were delighted.
- Auntie Georgia and Uncle Ben came and picked us up at 3:15 so we could travel to the theatre together. We met Auntie Maria and Uncle Rick as well as a few of their friends to watch Coco, the new Pixar film. It was AMAZING. The animation was beautiful. The characters were endearing. There were lots of laughs and a few tears. I want you guys to see it. I think you'd enjoy it immensely.
- After the movie we went for pho. Surprisingly, we had a bad experience. I think it's so odd because daddy and I go there almost every week and have never had even close to a hint of an issue. They forgot to make a couple of the meals. A couple of the people we were with were still waiting for their dinner after everyone had already finished. We kept asking the servers, and they all said they would check, but then they wouldn't get back to us. It was so weird.
- While we were at the movie and dinner, you guys were back at the house preparing for the birthday cake portion of the evening. Jane, you made a dinner of roasted potatoes and Italian sausage. Katie, you cleaned the bathrooms. Lila, you made a birthday card. George, your task was to be good. Apparently you were the only one who didn't do their job. You all blew up the balloons and decorated. It was so nice. You guys are really nice kids.
- Auntie Georgia brought both a lemon cake and a chocolate cake. They were both delicious. Happy Birthday Maria!!!! Hope this year is the best one yet. Thanks for giving us the honor of celebrating with you.
