me & dad
- Lila, as we unloaded your stuff from the van at school this morning, your tooth popped out! How exciting it happened at school because you got to go to see Mrs. Payne and get a special tooth holder.
- George, the weekly challenge for the camera club is panning. I tried my best with you and grandpa in the garage. It's really hard! They're pretty blurry, but I love them anyway. I love how much fun you guys were having.
- George, your learning is getting a little less painful. You generally do it without fussing and your tracing is almost on the lines. I'm hopeful that you'll be able to print your name by September!
- Grandpa has folded a LOT of laundry since he arrived on Tuesday. Poor guy. Just when he thinks he's finished, I throw a couple more loads on the couch.
- George, you're still obsessed with KISS. But now you've added pink rollerblades to the outfit. And you needed a guitar strap, so I fashioned one out of duct tape for your little ukulele.
- We took grandpa to Surrey to meet Uncle Harry on his way back to 100 Mile. It was nice to see him. It's been a long time! I'm hoping line up a bunch of jobs for him and get him back here to clean our carpets. He has an amazing system for deep cleaning.
- Lila, a couple days ago Dareian sent me a video of someone breaking open cattails. It was fascinating. We were mesmerized. On the way home from Surrey you asked if we could go look for some. Sure! We went to Colony Farms but they were all exploded already. So disappointing. But we still had a great time playing down there. We were there for a couple hours. You guys climbed the most amazing Rhododendron tree that was in full bloom. You made a deck of cards from leaves and tied it with some grass. I love seeing you use your creativity to make whatever you need out of whatever is around.
- George, you got really hot so you took your shirt off and rolled your pants up. Maybe winter boots weren't the best decision today!
- Katie, I haven't seen you much lately! You had academy tonight and asked me to stay and watch. I love watching you play. You're fun. You always have a good time talking and giggling with the other girls. You're so happy to be able to see your old teammates too.
